BUCHAREST (Romania), April 20 (SeeNews) – Romanian retailer EvoMAG expects a 20% increase in sales of home, decoration and DIY products this year by doubling its product range to 20,000 in these categories, the company said on Wednesday.
EvoMAG did not specify whether the projection refers to its sales volume or sales value, nor did it provide any comparative figures.
EvoMAG saw a more than 10% increase in sales across all categories this spring, it said in a statement. The best-selling products belong to the categories of outdoor activities, such as gardening, DIY tools, welding equipment, as well as lighting.
The company noted that expanding its product line across all categories is one of its strategic goals for 2022. Last month, it added 30,000 new products to its offering and plans to list 45,000 new products. more by the end of June.
Earlier this year, the retailer announced its partnership with courier service Bringo to provide 60-90 minute deliveries.
Founded in 2005, evoMAG achieved a turnover of 158 million lei (35.3 million dollars/31.9 million euros) in 2020, according to data from the Ministry of Finance. Originally an IT&C store, EvoMAG has diversified its product portfolio with DIY equipment and electric vehicles.
