Christmas Decorations Meet Jewelry in Anissa Kermiche’s Naughty Balls

Take care of your festive bush with the decorations “The Lovely Rubies Boobies”, “Précieux Pubis” and “Pit Power”

Add a naughty spruce to your Christmas tree this year with the cheeky baubles from Anissa Kermiche. Following last year’s voluptuous adornments, the jewelry designer ‘s annual unveiling of her festive new pieces is fast becoming our favorite sign that the holidays are fast approaching.

“The new balls are a direct translation of my existing jewelry collection,” says Kermiche of the “Body Language” ball trio. “I tend to humanize everything and imagine the Christmas tree as a person who also needs jewelry. That’s why I just enlarged the format of my body-shaped pendants and turned them into ceramic to adorn the trees as if they were ladies. ‘

The “The Lovely Rubies Boobies”, “Precious Pubis” and “Pit Power” decorations are crafted in terracotta and finished in hand painted gold in a sultry alternative to garlands. “My designs are rather festive in nature,” adds Kermiche. “They were designed to put a smile on people’s faces and spark a discussion. Translating my aesthetic into a festive theme came naturally; the shape of a Christmas ball speaks to me because I work a lot around spherical shapes (pearls, breasts, curved lines of a female body). Coming up with “Boobles” was so much fun to think about and give birth to. I don’t think I’ve seen “Pornaments” before and I hope they will make families laugh a little more this Christmas. ‘

This year, the Paris-born, UK-based jewelry designer is planning a well-deserved break for the holidays. What is she waiting for the most? “Spending time with my family,” she tells us. “Like most people who have moved to another country, visiting my family in France has become very difficult over the past year and a half, so I can’t wait to be in Paris, to unplug from work. and have a good time with my little nieces. The presence of children reinjected a dose of magic at Christmas and we are just a family of women! It will be me, my mom, my sister and her two babies. If Santa Claus isn’t wearing a skirt, I don’t think he’ll be welcome. §
